How hard the terminal reacts when you touch it, and how loud it is. Most of it can be left exactly where it starts.
Pre-launch. Market data is live Hyperliquid mainnet. Order placement is wired but NOT ARMED in this build, so the fills, position, PnL and volume shown in the terminal are simulated against the real price. Amber outline means simulated. It is not armed because the builder address is still a placeholder. Until that address is set, the terminal refuses to open on mainnet. What is built, in full.
The settings panel opens from the button in the header drawn as three sliders, next to the sound meter, or with , from anywhere outside a text field. Esc closes it.
You can leave most of it alone. The terminal is built to answer hard when you touch it, and the top of the panel decides how hard. The rest is a sound switch you will recognize and a set of safeties documented next to the order they protect.
Intensity
Four levels on a dial. Leave it on STANDARD. It is the default and it is the terminal as designed: its glow is the design system's own value, to the hundredth.
| Level | Effects scaled by | Glow |
|---|---|---|
| STILL | nothing sent | 0.00 |
| The panel says No particles, no shake, no glow. Animation and transition duration are cut to zero across the whole terminal. | ||
| CALM | 0.45x | 0.28 |
| The panel says Everything still responds, at under half strength. The fill still lands; the room stays quiet. | ||
| STANDARD default | 1.00x | 0.55 |
| The panel says The product as designed. Quiet at rest, disproportionate on contact. | ||
| MAXIMUM | 1.60x | 0.88 |
| The panel says Every reward is scaled up by 60% and the glow runs near opaque. Large fills will fill the screen. | ||
What the dial scales is every effect the terminal fires in answer to you. A module that wants a shockwave, a flash or a shake asks for one at some strength, and on the way to the screen the panel multiplies that strength by the first number in the table. The particles, the ring, the flash and the shake are all sized from what arrives. The glow around a pressed control is the second number, and it moves on its own track.
If the fills feel like too much, try CALM before anything else. Everything still answers, at 0.45 of the strength.
MAXIMUM is less than it sounds
Its own description promises 60% more on every effect. Below the ceiling that is true. But no effect can arrive stronger than 1, so anything a module asks for at 0.625 or more lands at exactly the strength it would have anyway.
The panel's own sample shows it. SAMPLE A FILL sends one shockwave at 0.72. At STANDARD it arrives at 0.72. At MAXIMUM it arrives at 1.00, which is 39% stronger. The glow has no ceiling in its way and climbs from 0.55 to 0.88.
What STILL turns off
Every shockwave, flash and shake is dropped before it reaches the screen. Animations across the page finish in 0.01ms. The panel's own description says transitions go to zero as well. They go to 60ms, which reads as instant and still lets you see a panel open. Twelve modules switch to their reduced-motion behavior the moment you pick it, with no reload, and the sound engine is one of them: several of its layers play softer.
This is the level for somebody who finds motion a problem. If the terminal is only too much for your taste, CALM keeps the feedback and turns it down.
It follows your system setting until you touch it
Out of the box the dial follows your operating system's reduce-motion switch. With that switch on you get STILL. With it off you get STANDARD. Following never lands on CALM or MAXIMUM, because those are only ever a choice somebody made.
Pick a level yourself and the dial stops following. The row under it
changes from FOLLOWING to
OVERRIDDEN, and RESTORE
hands control back. While it is following, flipping the system switch
changes the terminal at once.
Screen shake
A switch of its own, on by default. Off drops every shake and leaves the particles and the flash alone. It is there for people who like the effects and do not want the camera moving.
Sound
Sound is off until you turn it on. The switch here, the meter in the header and M all flip one setting, and the sound engine is the only thing that stores it.
Volume is a trim under a fixed ceiling. At 100% you hear the mix as it was designed, and nothing goes louder than that. The panel starts it at 80%.
The ambient bed is the low drone under everything else, on whenever sound is. It gets louder as the market gets rougher, so turning it off takes away a signal along with the noise. If you run with sound at all, keep it.
The risk controls live with the order
The panel's Risk section changes what a press does, so each control in it is documented on the page about that press:
- The leverage ceiling, a cap of your own on the leverage dial.
- Keyboard order entry, the switch for B and S.
- The Data section, which clears what the terminal keeps in this browser.
Of everything in this panel, hold to commit is the one to leave where it starts.
What it remembers
One record, ctm.settings.v1, in this browser. The dial, shake, volume and the
risk controls are in it. Mute and the bed are not: the sound engine keeps
those under its own keys.
What is kept in your
browser lists every key.
A damaged record does not wipe the rest. Each field is read on its own, and one that is missing, malformed or out of range falls back to its default: a stored volume above 100% is thrown away, not clamped. A record written by a newer build is ignored whole. If your browser refuses storage altogether, every setting still works and is gone on reload.
The panel ends with a shortcut list. Every key on it is bound in this build. It leaves out Enter. Keyboard shortcuts is the full list, each row checked against a live handler.
